09 Jul 2018 3rd Grade Nature Day

In May the Friends of the Fredericksburg Nature Center Welcomed 240 students from the Fredericksburg Elementary School to a day at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park .While there the students had the opportunity to learn about Birds, Butterflies, Dragonflies, Bats, Beavers, as well as Hill Country Geology. They also learned about Prairie and Wood land plants.

Very exciting for students and adults alike was a Raptor Program presented by Last Chance Forever Raptor Rehabilitation Organization. This year marks the 14 year the Nature Day has been offered to students.
