DESCRIPTION:iNaturalist for Science\, Learning and Fun\n\n\nApril 19\, 2023\n\nJoin us in welcoming Craig Hensley\, our favorite TPWD Texas Nature Trackers Biologist\, on April 19th from 10 a.m. – noon\, at the Tatsch House in Lady Bird Johnson Park. This presentation will focus on using iNaturalist as a tool for learning and contributing to citizen scientist efforts.\nThe iNaturalist app provides users the opportunity not only to learn more about the nature around them\, but to also contribute more understanding of the flora and fauna of an area\, whether it is Texas\, your own backyard or the nature center’s grounds in Fredericksburg. During this presentation by Texas Nature Trackers Biologist Craig Hensley\, you’ll learn about the app\, how to apply it to your property or elsewhere and take it outside to hone your skills with your cell phone. You’ll also find out how you can participate in the City Nature Challenge from April 29-May 1st.\nCapacity is limited for this free program and because we expect it to fill up quickly\, pre-registration is required.
