Founder and Past President of the Friends of the Fredericksburg Center

Bill Lindemann Passed Away on July 19 ,2021

It is with great sadness that we announce that Bill Lindemann died on July 19, 2021, as a result of complications after heart surgery. Bill was a dear friend, mentor, and founder of the Fredericksburg Nature Center where he continued to serve for twenty years as president and guiding figure of the center until 2021. He was a stalwart in the Texas birding, native plant, and natural preservation communities where his friendship and leadership will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Life for Bill is planned for Friday, August 27th, beginning at 10:00am in Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in Fredericksburg. The event will be held outdoors near the park entrance – look for signs. There will be limited seating under cover, so bring your lawn chairs just in case.
